Dear Parents, Guardians and Community,
With the turn of the weather and frosty mornings, it’s a good time to remind everyone that the school does sell school beanies, which are the only type permitted to be worn at school. From time to time, we have explored the idea of a school puffer jacket. However, the feedback we have received from families suggests that our current uniform items provide enough layers for students to keep warm.
Next week is a very special week for us as our Year 3 students celebrate their First Reconciliation. This is an important milestone in their faith journey and one they will remember throughout their lives. A heartfelt thank you to their wonderful teachers, Charlotte Lipnicki, and other staff members who have supported them along the way. Thank you also to their parents and guardians for your support and guidance of your children.
Stairs: Rebecca Backman and Laura Graham have been working behind the scenes to organise an upgrade to our stairs. It has really brightened up the space and created a terrific connection to learning.

Gospel: John 14: 23-29
The Holy Spirit will teach you everything and remind you of all that I have said to you
Jesus said to his disciples:
‘If anyone loves me he will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we shall come to him
and make our home with him.
Those who do not love me do not keep my words.
And my word is not my own:
it is the word of the one who sent me.
I have said these things to you
while still with you;
but the Advocate, the Holy Spirit,
whom the Father will send in my name,
will teach you everything
and remind you of all I have said to you.
Peace I bequeath to you,
my own peace I give you,
a peace the world cannot give, this is my gift to you.
Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.
You heard me say:
I am going away, and shall return.
If you loved me you would have been glad to know that I am going to the Father,
for the Father is greater than I.
I have told you this now before it happens,
so that when it does happen you may believe.’
Year 3 Reconciliation evening with Maria Forde
Thank you to all the families who attended last nights information session with Maria Forde in preparation for your child’s First Reconciliation.
We hope you found the session both informative and reflective - not only in supporting your child through this important sacrament, but also as a moment to revisit and reflect on your own experience of making your First Reconciliation.
Your presence and engagement are a valued part of this special journey of faith.
Friendly reminder that the year 3 /4 students will be celebrating their annual family Mass this Sunday at 10:30.
We are looking forward to seeing you all there
Reconciliation
Thank You for Booking Your Child’s First Reconciliation
I would like to extend a big thank you to all families who have booked a time for their child’s First Reconciliation. Your support in this important step of their faith journey is greatly appreciated.
The children have been carefully prepared during their Religious Education classes and through our parish program. They have been learning about God's love, forgiveness, and the meaning of reconciliation in their lives.
To help them feel confident and ready, the children will take part in a run-through and practice session in the church this Friday. This will give them the opportunity to become familiar with the space and understand what to expect on the day.
As parents you can support your child by referring to the booklet and practicing the greeting component of the Sacrament - allowing your child to introduce members of their family.
We are looking forward to sharing this special occasion with you and your child.
St Mary’s Family Monthly Mass
Thank You
We extend our sincere thanks to all the families who attended the Family Mass on Sunday. Your presence and participation contributed to a truly meaningful and prayerful celebration.
A special word of thanks to the children who generously volunteered to read during the Mass. Your reverence and clarity were greatly appreciated and brought a special warmth to the liturgy.
It was also a joy and a privilege to witness the beautiful sacrament of Baptism during the Mass — a profound reminder of our shared faith and the gift of new life in Christ.
Thank you all for being a part of this special occasion.
