The First few weeks in the LIBRARY have been wonderful.  We began with reading books on STARTING or RETURNING to school - aptly titled "First Day" and "The Battle"!

Last week on Feb 14th was LOVE YOUR LIBRARY DAY - so all classes read "Hooray, Hooray, it's LIBRARY DAY!!!  Children were asked what they love about the library, and most said "Quiet" and "Peaceful" and "Silent reading".  What WONDERFUL answers - this is exactly what we aim for.  All children (and Teachers) in our school come to the Library once a week for 30 minutes to listen to a theme story, borrow and then read.  We HOPE it is their favourite day of the week and we love it when we get to see them browse and borrow and READ!

This week we are celebrating NATIONAL LOVE YOUR PET DAY.  The first book read was "Prudence wants a Pet", but there may be a few surprise ones by the end of the week.  Please remember to ask your child what book they listened to, and did they enjoy their QUIET time in our beautiful library.
