Gospel: Mark 11:1-10

messiah.png

As they approached Jerusalem, near the towns of Bethphage and Bethany, they came to the Mount of Olives.

Jesus sent two of his disciples on ahead with these instructions: “Go to the village there ahead of you.

As soon as you get there, you will find a colt tied up that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here.

And if someone asks you why you are doing that, say that the Masterneeds it and will send it back at once.”

So they went and found a colt out in the street, tied to the door of a house.

As they were untying it, some of the bystanders asked them, “What are you doing, untying that colt?”

They answered just as Jesus had told them, and the crowd let them go.

They brought the colt to Jesus, threw their cloaks over the animal, and Jesus got on.

Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches in the field and spread them on the road. The people who were in front

and those who followed behind began to shout, “Praise God! God bless him who comes in the name of the Lord!

God bless the coming kingdom of King David, our father! Praise be to

God!”

Stations of the Cross

I would like to say a big thank you to the Year 5 and 6 students and their teachers.

I know a lot of time and effort was dedicated to making sure the event was well prepared.

The students were very reverent in their portrayal of the Stations of the Cross.

Please seek out and congratulate the students on a wonderful effort and thank the teachers for their teaching and organising of the event.

ANZAC Day

Dear Families,

As we approach ANZAC Day, we extend a heartfelt invitation to you and your loved ones to join us for the Dawn Service on April 25th. This solemn occasion offers us a precious opportunity to come together as a school community, to reflect, remember, and honor the sacrifices made by our brave servicemen and women.

The Dawn Service holds a profound significance in our national consciousness, marking the exact hour when Australian and New Zealand soldiers landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula during World War I. It's a moment to pay tribute not only to those who fought in that campaign but to all who have served and continue to serve our nations in times of conflict and peacekeeping missions.

We understand that attending the Dawn Service may require an early start, but we assure you, the experience is profoundly moving and meaningful. Whether you're a first-time attendee or a seasoned participant, your presence enriches the commemoration and ensures that the spirit of ANZAC Day endures.

So, mark your calendars and set your alarms. Join us as we gather at dawn to honor, remember, and reflect. Together, let us ensure that the legacy of our ANZACs lives on in our hearts and minds.

Lest We Forget.
