Dear, Parents, Guardians and Community,
Welcome back to Term 4. Over the holidays all the upstairs classrooms have been painted giving it a nice fresh (and bright) look. Our School Building fund has allowed us to really make the school look much cleaner and neater, so a big thank you to all the families that have contributed to that fund. Any contribution to the Building Fund is tax deductible.
World's Teachers day Wednesday October 5. Today we mark World Teachers Day and thank everyone in our school who contributes to the education of your child. We are extremely lucky to have such professional and dedicated staff and I thank them personally for all the work they do for the students at St Mary's.
Urban Camp: As part of our revised Camp Program, our Year 4 students are attending Urban Camp next week which includes a night away in the city. Thank you to the staff who have organised and supported this camp. The students will be visiting many places in the city throughout the excursion.

Today is World Teachers Day – and we’d like to celebrate and acknowledge the important contribution that each of our teachers at St Mary’s makes to the education, development and well-being of our children.
In 2022, the theme is: “Teachers at the heart of education recovery”. Our teachers work hard to inspire, guide, educate and mentor us every day.
Thank you – we are fortunate to have such a committed and vibrant group of teachers at St Mary’s. Your ongoing commitment to our children, the parish and the school community is highly valued and appreciated.

The Cyber Safety Project are provding free webinars for families.
With only 1 in 3 young people willing to chat with their parents if something went wrong online, it's time to bridge the gap. They have designed four free webinars for parents to join with their children. Each interactive webinar is facilitated by a panel of cyber security and wellbeing experts to help families start the chat about online security, safety and wellbeing. Please view the attached flyer for details about the webinars.
Covid Update
With the end of winter, face mask guidance has also changed. Face masks are now recommended in indoor settings, or outside where physical distancing is not possible.
As an additional risk mitigation, it is strongly recommended by the Department of Health that anyone leaving isolation on day 6 or 7 wears a face mask indoors away from home, and outdoors where they cannot physically distance. For those leaving isolation on day 6, wear a mask for five days, but particularly the first two days. For those leaving isolation on day 7, wear a mask for four days, but particularly the first two days.
Rapid antigen test deliveries in Term 4
The Victorian Government will provide up to three deliveries of rapid antigen tests (RATs) to schools in Term 4, 2022.
!! Covid Isolation Time: The school is still waiting on advice to changes to Covid Isolation Periods. We expect it soon. Until that is offically notified we still under the previous guidelines of seven days isolation.

We cannot give money to another family directly, however we can use that money to supplement their school fees, camp fees etc.)To support another family in our school, use our normal bank account with a reference;
