Dear Parents and Community,
Some updates for this week.
School Closure Days: (Thursday March 4 and 5) What should a Catholic school look like in the 21st Century? A very interesting topic for staff to be reflecting on. The challenges of being a Catholic institution in a modern world. We are really looking forward to these days together as a staff and how it can help shape our future connection to faith.
Absences, late arrivals and Holidays: A reminder that the school needs to be notified if they are going away on holidays. For example, we have 5 families currently away with "unidentified absent." We are also having some regularly late arrivals. It doesn't seem much, but it adds up..... 15 minutes a day adds up to about half a term of Literacy per year.
Well done to our Year 2's who had our first family mass for about a year. Unfortunately I missed this one as I was away, but I heard it went very well. Thanks to the Year two teachers, Charlotte Lipnicki and Michelle Ebinger.
Today is World Math's Day and so our students had a great time doing Math's Activities. Thank you Brittney Rickman for organising the day.
March the 5th is the National Day of Action Against Bullying. As we have the closure day on March 5, we will be highlighting it on March the 10th with students doing activities on this day on this theme.
Dust off the bikes, National Ride to School Day is coming up on Friday March 19. So pump up the tyres and oil the chain and get the children out for a practice ride.
God Bless and Stay Safe
Anthony
